Shaheen Shah Afridi, a star pacer for Pakistan, made history on Friday by becoming the first bowler to claim four wickets in the opening over of a T20 encounter.

For Nottinghamshire against Warwickshire in the T20 Vitality Blast on Friday, June 30, Shaheen delivered an outstanding opening over. 

On the first, second, fifth, and sixth balls of the first over, the 23-year-old fast bowler took the wickets. 

Prior to Dan Mousley getting out by playing right into Olly Stone's hands, he bowled out Chris Benjamin and the opener Alex Davies, LBW, with a yorker.


 

After dismissing Ed Barnard with a bowl, Shaheen has taken four wickets in the opening over of the game.

However, the pacer only scored 29 runs, and his team was defeated

In 19.1 overs, the Bears reached the 169-run mark. Opening batsman Robert Yates scored 65 runs off of 46 balls to help his team win by two wickets.

The finishing touches came from Glenn Maxwell, Jacob Bethell, and Jake Lintott, who scored 19, 27, and 27 not out, respectively.

The Bears have 10 victories in their last 13 games, which puts them atop the North Group's points standings. Nottinghamshire, on the other hand, is in fourth place after winning seven of their 13 games.

The Twenty20 Cup, which debuted in June 2003 as the event, was the first precision T20 league. This is its 21st iteration.

For this year's Premier League, Shaheen joined Nottinghamshire Outlaws.

Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi bowled a breathtaking spell of fast bowling on Sunday to help Hampshire run through Middlesex by 20 runs in England’s T20 Blast competition.

Afridi returned with stunning figures of 6/19 from his four overs and brilliantly, all six of the wickets were bowled: the last four of which came off 4 consecutive deliveries to finish the match in favour of Hampshire.








Chasing 142, Middlesex were 121/6 in the 18th over when Afridi dismantled the stumps of John Simpson, Steven Finn, Thilan Walallawita and Tim Murtagh off 4 consecutive deliveries to take Hampshire to a thumping victory.

Earlier, the 20-year-old pacer had also taken the wickets of Stevie Eskinazi and John Simpson.

Mumbai Indians set a challenging total for Chennai Super Kings

In an opening thriller of Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the toss and elected to bat first, Rohit Sharma & Quinton De Kock came to open the first match of the IPL but Rohit Sharma went early on 12 runs by Chawla.

Q De Kock played a good inning of 33 runs with the SS Tiwary for 3rd wicket partnership, He departed for 33 and Tiwary also played a good hand with the 42 runs from 31 balls.

Many expectations were raised from the winning captain of CPL Kieron Pollary but he departed for only 18 runs, With those individual scores, Mumbai Indians managed to score 162/9.


L Nigidi was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets, DL Chahar & R Jadeja took 2 wickets from their allotted 4 overs, Sam Curran was also economical with 4 overs for 28 runs and 1 wicket.

 Joffre Archer takes on the role of World Champion England, who host a stunning 24 track tie against Australia in the second one-day international tournament at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Australia, who were going smoothly towards the target of  232 wins, were bowled out for 207 while England completed a three-game 1-1 streak.

Australia commanded 144-2, but lost four wickets in three runs on 21 balls - including captain Aaron Finch for a well-made 73 - to 147: 6, new duo Chris Woakes (3:32) and Archer (3: 34). back to cause damage.

And when Sam Curran's left-handed pacemaker, called up along with Brother Tom, took two two-ball wickets to knock out Pat Cummins and Mitchell Stark after woakes and Archer made their 10 allotted overs, Australia was 166-8.

Sam Quran put Adam Zampa in the middle of a well-disguised ball and was slower to leave Australia on the brink of a crushing defeat at 176-9.

Legspin Adil Rashid finished the game with an extra eight balls when he allowed Joss Butler to stump Alex Kerry.


Previously, the Australian offensive, in which Starc (2-28) and Josh Hazlewood (1-27) had once again set the tone, limited England to 231-9.


Adam Zampa scored an impressive 3-36 from a maximum of 10 overs to chase a light spinner's 4-55 shot during Australia's 19 wins on Friday.


England captain Eoin Morgan scored a high on 42, but could not prevent his country from falling to 149-8 before the 76th goal post between Tom Curran, 37 and Rashid, 35, kept the hosts in the game.

 In the second match of the three-match T20 series between Pakistan and England, England defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets. Pakistan scored 195 runs for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs in reply to which England achieved the target at a loss of 5 wickets.



According to the details, England won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat. Openers Babar Azam and Fakhr Zaman gave a good start to the team.


 Fakhar Zaman was dismissed for 36 off 22 balls. Babar Azam was dismissed for 56 off 44 balls. Shoaib Malik was dismissed for 14 off 11 balls and Mohammad Hafeez was dismissed for 69 off 36 balls.

 

 For England, Adil Rashid took two wickets while Chris Jordan and Kieran took one wicket each. For England, Ben Tin scored 20, Johnny Barstow 44, Anne Morgan 66 and Mohammad Ali 1. David Milan remained unbeaten on 50. For Pakistan, Shadab Khan took 3 wickets and Haris Rauf took 2 wickets

Pakistan team started the day from early blow of Babar Azam when he was picked up by joe root on 69 runs in the slips & James Anderson claimed his first wicket.


Then Asad Shafiq joined Shan Masood However he was also departed on 7runs by Stuard broad and Pakistan Cricket team was in a spot of bother but shan Masood stood firm on the other end.

Muhammad Rizwan took his time but got a good one from Chris Woakes and took a long walk back to the pavilion by scoring only 9runs.

Now comes Shahdab Khan with the reputation of All-rounder and he did not disappoint, he scored quick 45 runs with Shan Masood and took the session away from England team, Shahdab Khan and Shan Masood added 102 runs.


But, Man of the moment was Shan Masood who added 156 runs and single-handedly took Pakistan cricket team on the driving seat, after Shan Masood departure Pakistan was all out on 326runs.

The English team's both the openers were dismissed cheaply, Rj Burns and DP Sibley both were lbw by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Muhammad Abbas respectively.

Yet the prize wicket of Ben Stokes which took by Muhammad Abbas on outswing delivery was the moment of the match he did not bother the scorer and went on 0.

England team finishes the day with 91-4 and Pakistan team has all the momentum to get the big lead in 1st innings.
 
On the contrary, if Jos Butler and pope played a long innings than England can be out of trouble and give Pakistan a substantial lead to make them under pressure.
